Mini Sudoku 4×4

Mini Sudoku uses the same rules as the classic puzzle on a 4×4 grid divided into four 2×2 boxes. Each row, column and box must contain the digits 1 to 4 exactly once.

It is the ideal way to learn how Sudoku logic works — scanning, singles and elimination — before moving up to 9×9. The higher difficulties remove more clues, and the Expert setting starts with only five, which can be surprisingly tricky.

1. Select a cell and enter a digit from 1 to 4.
2. Each row, column and 2×2 box must contain 1, 2, 3 and 4 once.
3. Use Notes, Undo, Hint and the Mistakes checker exactly as in Classic Sudoku.
4. The puzzle is solved when the grid is full and correct.

• Look for a row, column or box with three digits — the fourth is forced.
• If a digit appears in two of the four boxes, its position in the remaining boxes is very limited.
• Once you can solve Expert 4×4 quickly, move on to Classic Sudoku on Easy.
