Jigsaw Puzzle

This jigsaw-style picture puzzle cuts an image into square pieces and scrambles them on the board. Swap pieces two at a time until the picture is complete. Pieces lock in place with a subtle highlight once they reach the right spot.

All the artwork — mountain sunsets, ocean waves, night skylines, desert dunes and geometric gardens — is drawn by code in your browser, so every picture is original and slightly different each time.

1. Tap a piece, then tap another piece to swap them. Or drag one piece onto another.
2. Pieces in the correct position lock and cannot be moved.
3. Use Show picture to see the finished image.
4. Complete the picture to finish. Your time and number of swaps are recorded.

• Start with distinctive areas such as the sun, moon or a bright horizon.
• Work from the edges: sky pieces tend to belong at the top, ground pieces at the bottom.
• Fix one row at a time on larger puzzles.
• Every swap can lock up to two pieces — look for swaps that place both pieces correctly.
