Chroma Rush: Color Card Challenge
About Chroma Rush: Color Card Challenge
Chroma Rush is Game Oix's own fast-paced card game. Each player starts with seven cards. On your turn, play a card that matches the top of the pile by colour — Ember, Tide, Grove or Sun — or by number or symbol. Action cards shake things up, and Wild cards let you choose the next colour. The first player to empty their hand wins the round and scores points for the cards left in their rivals' hands.
Chroma Rush is an original design with original artwork, inspired by the general mechanics of shedding card games.
How to play
- Highlighted cards in your hand can be played. Tap one to play it.
- If you cannot or prefer not to play, tap the draw pile. If the drawn card is playable, you may play it or press Keep card & pass.
- Skip (⊘): the next player misses a turn. Reverse (⇄): changes direction; with two players it acts like Skip.
- Draw Two (+2): the next player draws two cards and misses a turn.
- Wild (★): choose the next colour. Wild Draw Four (+4): choose the colour; the next player draws four and misses a turn. You may only play it when you hold no card of the current colour.
- Empty your hand first to win. You score the value of your rivals' remaining cards: numbers at face value, action cards 20, wild cards 50.
Strategy and tips
- Steer towards your strongest colour when you have a choice.
- Shed high-value cards early to limit the points you give away.
- Save Wilds for when you have no other play — or to stop a rival on their last card.
- Watch card counts. Use Skip and Draw cards on a rival who is close to winning.
- Notice what rivals avoid. A player who draws on a colour probably has none of it.
