Pyramid Solitaire
About Pyramid Solitaire
In Pyramid Solitaire, 28 cards are dealt face up in a triangle of seven rows. A card is available when no card overlaps it from the row below. Remove two available cards whose values add up to 13 — Aces count 1, Jacks 11, Queens 12 — and remove Kings on their own.
The rest of the deck forms a stock that you turn one card at a time; the top waste card can pair with the pyramid. Easy allows unlimited passes through the stock, while Expert gives you a single pass.
How to play
- Tap an uncovered card, then a second card; if they add up to 13 both are removed.
- Tap a King to remove it on its own.
- Tap the stock to turn a card onto the waste. The top waste card can be paired too.
- Clear the whole pyramid to win.
Strategy and tips
- Think about which card each removal uncovers. Two pairs may look equal, but one frees cards you need.
- Watch the bottom-row cards' partners. If all four of a card's partners are buried behind it, the pyramid may be stuck.
- Use the waste carefully on limited passes — once a card has gone by, you may not see it again.
Questions about Pyramid Solitaire
What do the face cards count?
Jack = 11, Queen = 12 and King = 13. A King is removed on its own because it already makes 13.
