Pattern Recognition
About Pattern Recognition
In every round of Pattern Recognition, all the tiles in the grid are identical — except one. Your job is to find it. Early on the difference is obvious: a different shape or a half-turn. As you progress, it becomes a subtle rotation, a mirror image, a slight change of size or a small shift in colour.
It is a quick, satisfying test of visual attention, and a good warm-up before longer puzzles.
How to play
- Look at the grid and find the tile that differs from all the others.
- Click or tap it. A correct choice moves you to the next round.
- Each level has eight rounds and you have three lives. A wrong tile costs a life.
- Clear all eight rounds to complete the level. Later levels use larger grids and subtler differences.
Strategy and tips
- Look at the whole grid with a soft focus first — the odd tile often stands out in peripheral vision.
- Use a reference tile. Compare tiles against one chosen tile rather than against each other.
- Scan in rows if nothing pops out, so you never check a tile twice.
- Know what can change: shape, rotation, mirror image, size, brightness or hue.
